AFL 2023: Lachie Neales new tattoos catches attention of fans in Brisbane Lions win vs Essendon B
Is Lachie Neale auditioning for a move to Collingwood?
The Brisbane Lions continued their strong start to the AFL season with a 12.15 (87) to 6.9 (45) over Essendon at The Gabba on Saturday night.
It was a low scoring contest and it wasn’t until the third quarter that the Lions pulled away from the Bombers and opened up a handy lead.

Six goals from Joe Daniher proved the difference as Brisbane notched up their seventh win of the season to move to second on the ladder midway through Round 9.
The Lions have now won their last six games.
Neale was the top disposal getter on the ground with 34 touches, but fans couldn’t help but notice he was sporting some new tattoos on his left shoulder.
It seemed the Brownlow medallist had acquired two tattoos of what appeared to be birds on his shoulder.
It was a new look for the Neale and let’s just say the reviews were…mixed.
Neale was asked about his fresh ink after the game and joked he was just doing his bit to increase the number of tattoos at the Lions.
“I thought we didn’t have enough boys at the club with tattoos and it’s about time we got a couple on the board,” he told Channel 7.
“Little bit of fresh ink. I’ve got a few little ones around the place but that’s probably my biggest to date.”
Despite the final margin, it took nearly 12 minutes for the Lions to hit the scoreboard through Daniher.

The Lions were heavily involved in the second term, but couldn’t put their hard work to use, with Daniher, Eric Hipwood and Dayne Zorko all missing straight set shots, leaving the Bombers to score back-to-back goals that put them ahead by 10 points at half time.
But, the premiership contenders were able to put out a massive third term performance that quickly wiped the memory of the previous stanza from the fans’ minds to set them up for a huge third quarter, kicking five goals to Essendon’s one.
