Page Six has a new blurb claiming that relations between Madonna and ex-husband Guy Ritchie are still quite frosty, despite them occasionally spending time together for the sake of their kids. In fact, they claim that Guy refers to Madonna as an “it” – something few of us could argue with, given the state of her gristle.

MADONNA’S ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, reportedly has been dissing the Material Girl (above) behind her back by referring to her as “It.” London’s Sun newspaper quoted a source: “Guy will say, ‘Oh, It’s in a bad mood today.’ ” The British director adopted the nasty nickname even before the couple officially split. “Even towards the end of their marriage, he would call her It. He told people, ‘We can’t make It angry.’ There is absolutely no love lost between them,” the source told the paper. MADONNA’s rep, Liz Rosenberg, shot back to Page Six: “It hasn’t been in a bad mood since the divorce was finalized.

I have to give props to Liz Rosenberg. That was an awesome response. Much, much better than the usual, “We don’t comment on our client’s private lives.” To be fair, there are a lot of worse things to call someone than an “it.” I still refer to a wretched ex-girlfriend of my father’s as “that creature.” It’s genderless (as she indeed appeared to be), but much more insulting than “it.” But I’ve also said she has a soul of pure tar, and even Guy Ritchie hasn’t sunk that low. Speaks poorly of me, I suppose. Whoops.

It isn’t the nicest thing to say about the mother of your children, but people have said much worse about Madge. People that weren’t married to her. People that didn’t have to have sex with her. Really, everything considered, I think Guy was being pretty restrained. Considering all the muscles he’s seen… all the ripping of phonebooks and the crushing of watermelons between Madonna’s legs… the post-traumatic stress must be unbearable. I think we have to give him a good deal of latitude in regards to things things.
