James Corden is Saying Farewell to The Late Late Show in 2023 Celeb Secrets
James Corden is saying goodbye to The Late Late Show.
Deadline broke the news yesterday (April 28), announcing that Corden will be leaving the show ahead of the summer of 2023. Corden, who took over the show after Craig Ferguson, has been The Late Late Show host since March of 2015.
Corden told Deadline, “It’s been it’s a really hard decision to leave because I’m so immensely proud of the show. I’m thrilled to be extending [for a year]. I always thought I’d do it for five years and then leave, and then stayed on.”
The Late Late Show, which is famously known for segments like Carpool Karaoke and Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts, has become an instant fan favorite. With a star-studded guest list, Corden’s segments have literally broken the Internet, with Adele‘s episode racking in over 254 million views along to date.
Corden’s show has become a phenomenon and has seen huge success. The talk show host shared with the outlet his final thoughts on leaving saying, “All of my greatest ambitions for what it was [the show] could be, it’s absolutely surpassed all of them. My intention is to try and go out in exactly the same way we came in, which is just going out with a bang.”
