Kai Havertzs first Arsenal interview Leaked after 65m transfer from Chelsea
A video snippet featuring Kai Havertz’s initial interview as a player for Arsenal has surfaced prematurely, even before the official announcement of his transfer.
The 24-year-old German striker is nearing a £65 million transfer to Arsenal from Chelsea.
It was disclosed that the initial phase of Kai Havertz’s medical assessment had been finalized, prior to a photograph circulating on social media showing him wearing Arsenal’s 2023/24 home kit with a smile on his face.
While neither club has officially confirmed the transfer, it is virtually completed.
Additionally, a video clip of Havertz donning Arsenal’s red attire has surfaced on Twitter, where he expressed his delight in joining Mikel Arteta’s youthful team in North London.
He expressed, “I’m incredibly thrilled on a personal level. Joining this exceptional club brings me immense joy.”
“This club boasts an extensive and illustrious history, and I am optimistic that we can accomplish great feats together. I eagerly anticipate meeting my fellow players and the staff; it promises to be an exhilarating experience.
The team’s unity and camaraderie are evident on the field, and I believe this spirit extends beyond the pitch.
The squad’s collective mentality is remarkably strong, which made it challenging for opponents to face Arsenal. Moreover, there is an abundance of talented players, and the potential for achieving significant milestones is vast.”
Despite facing challenges during his previous season at Stamford Bridge, Kai Havertz emerged as Chelsea’s top scorer with nine goals across all competitions.
The former Leverkusen standout, who joined Chelsea for approximately £62 million in 2020, garnered a loyal fan base in West London, particularly due to his match-winning goal against Manchester City in the 2021 Champions League final.

Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Havertz eagerly anticipates participating in the prestigious tournament once again, following Arsenal’s second-place finish in the Premier League, which secured their return to Europe’s elite club competition.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Havertz stated, “The Champions League is a special tournament, and every football player simply relishes the opportunity to play in it.
Winning the trophy was the best feeling I’ve ever experienced.
So, playing in it again with Arsenal next season is incredibly exciting for me.”
The video also unveiled that Havertz intends to continue wearing his preferred number, 29, at the Emirates Stadium, despite concerns about its supposed curse.
Shedding light on his attachment to the number, he explained, “I’ve had it for many years.
I chose it when I turned professional in Germany, and since then, it has always brought me good fortune.
It holds special meaning as my brother and I used to pick it when playing video games together.
So, for me, it’s the perfect number, and I’m thrilled to wear it again on a red shirt.”
Havertz, accompanied by his stunning partner Sophia Weber, has completed all the necessary paperwork with Arsenal, and all agreements have been reached between the clubs.
Arsenal fans anxiously await the official announcement, which is now highly likely to be made later today.
Additionally, they hope to secure the signing of Declan Rice after submitting a record-breaking bid last night.
