According to a report from Just Jared, Quentin Tarantino is going to direct a Star Trek film and he claims he’d like it to receive an R-rating from the MMPA. The 55-year-old filmmaker dished on the upcoming Star Trek film, insinuating that it’d be filled with profanity and other controversial content.

Quentin said to the outlet, Empire, that if he does it, it’ll definitely receive an “R-rating.” Quentin claimed there is a script for the upcoming movie right now, but he hasn’t been able to get his hands on it yet but looks forward to reading it.

At the moment, Quentin is thinking more about his newest movie starring Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, which received critical praise during the festival circuit this year. As fans of the filmmaker know, his movies are known for their controversial content and long dialogue scenes between characters.

During a press conference for the movie, however, Quentin was grilled by a reporter who insinuated he was wasting Margot Robbie’s talent in the movie by not giving her more lines and more screen-time. Mr. Tarantino said to her directly, “I disagree with your hypothesis.”

The movie revolves around the murder of Sharon Tate in 1969 involving Charles Manson and The Manson Family. Sharon was Roman Polanski’s wife at the time. She was eight-and-a-half months pregnant at her time of death.

This will be the second time both actors, Brad and Leonardo, have worked with Quentin Tarantino. Brad Pitt had a lead role in Inglorious Basterds and Leonardo as well in Django Unchained, starring Jamie Foxx.

His most recent film, The Hateful Eight, starred Kurt Russell as well as Samuel Jackson and received mixed reviews, with many critics hating it and others loving it. Particular praise was given to Jennifer Jason Leigh, who starred as the woman held hostage by Kurt Russell’s character.

The Hateful Eight sparked significant controversy for its depiction of racial and sexual issues as well. Ennio Morricone won the Oscar for Best Original Score.
