Sophie Turners Sansa Stark Is Ready For War In Season 8 Of Game Of Thrones

Sansa Stark is preparing for war in the final season of Game of Thrones. Sophie Turner revealed that her character will get an upgrade in the armor department this season as Winterfell gears up for the fight against the Night King’s undead army.

“This is the first time I’ve had armor,” Turner shared.

The armor is nothing like what we have seen Brienne of Tarth and Jaime Lannister wear in previous seasons. Instead, Sansa got a makeover and will be rocking a more stylish set of protective gear. Turner did not reveal exactly what the armor will look like, but she did tease that it will make Sansa look more like a warrior.

“I wanted her to have a bit of armor and be a bit more warrior like. She’s like the warrior of Winterfell,” Turner added.

According to Entertainment Weekly, HBO has not released any photos of Sansa in her new armor. Sansa was, however, featured in the most recent promo release, which also included Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) arriving at Winterfell.

Given how Turner and the rest of the Stark children are about to face their most formidable enemy yet, it makes sense that Sansa is given some way to protect herself. Unfortunately, it sounds like fans will have to wait a little longer before they find out exactly what Sansa’s armor looks like.

Before revealing the new attire for Sansa, Turner was spotted leaving a hotel in London. The actress was joined by her co-star, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and other cast members as they prepared for press day. The actress was also spotted enjoying a romantic dinner with her future husband, Joe Jonas, over the weekend.

With the premiere of the final season of Game of Thrones only a few weeks away, fans can expect more revelations as the series gears up for its last run. The final season is comprised of six episodes, with each installment expected to be a bit longer than usual.
